We know students across the U.S are doing amazing work in their local communities and we think it’s worth celebrating their hard work.
This challenge is broadly designed for students ages 18 and older who currently attend a high school (homeschooling is fine) or accredited college or university in the United States.
International students attending a college in the United States and involved in a club or organization that is participating in the challenge are welcome to participate. Students and student organizations at colleges and universities outside of the United States are not eligible for this challenge.
In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re seeking student leaders whose work demonstrates a commitment to expanding access and opportunities for the LatinX/Hispanic community. For example, some sort of service or philanthropic support such as volunteering at an after school program, fundraising for an initiative, starting a mentorship program, etc. Hosting events such as parties are not considered philanthropic and will not be considered for this challenge.
Applicants do not have to be limited to supporting the Hispanic/LatinX community exclusively. For example, volunteering at a local Boys and Girls club with a large number of Hispanic/LatinX students, or coding for a Hispanic/LatinC owned business, are examples of impacting the Hispanic/LatinX community.
We’re looking to showcase students doing a wide range of things for their communities. Entrants should complete this entry form and answer the questions to provide an overview of the work they’ve done to expand access and opportunities for the Hispanic/LatinX community. No example of community work is too small!
Applicants also have the option to share a YouTube video or other creative expression that highlights what they’ve accomplished. If submitting a video, please keep it to two minutes or less.
Submissions are due Friday, October 11th at 5:59pm PST.
