Terms and Conditions
By entering into this challenge:
- Participants release and hold harmless Google and its affiliates, subsidiaries, and related companies, and their respective directors, officers, employees, representatives, and agents from any and all liability for any damage, loss, or delay (including personal injury and death, and property damage) resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize, participation in this challenge, or while traveling to, preparing for, or participating in any prize-related activity, except for personal injury or death caused by Google’s gross negligence or any other liability which cannot be excluded by applicable law.
- Participants grant to Google an unrestricted, irrevocable, sublicenseable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use and publish their names, photographs, voice, videos, organization names, and winning entries online, in print, and in any other media in connection with the challenge, and to reproduce and create derivative works thereof without restriction.
By submitting the entry form, you agree that you will comply with all applicable anti-bribery laws, including but not limited to the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977 and the UK Bribery Act of 2010, which prohibit corrupt offers of anything of value, either directly or indirectly, to anyone, including government officials, to obtain or keep business or to secure any other improper commercial advantage. “Government officials” include any government employee; candidate for public office; and employee of government-owned or -controlled companies, public international organizations, and political parties. Google may terminate the challenge if it believes, in good faith, that a participant has violated or caused Google to violate any anti-bribery laws or that such a violation may occur.
Google will revoke a post for any participant who no longer meets the eligibility requirements at the time the nominees are showcased.
Employees (whether current or former) of Google Inc. or any of its affiliates and their immediate family members (which means parents, spouses, children, siblings, in-laws, and grandchildren and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) or residents in the same household (whether legally or not) are not eligible to participate in the Pay It Forward challenge. Participants who are (1) residents of embargoed countries, (2) ordinarily resident in US embargoed countries, or (3) otherwise prohibited by applicable export controls and sanctions programs may not participate this challenge.
IN NO EVENT WILL GOOGLE OR ITS AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES AND RELATED COMPANIES, OR THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS, BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSSES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THIS CHALLENGE OR FOR ANY ACTION OR OMISSION MADE IN CONNECTION WITH THIS CHALENGE. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, EVERYTHING IN THESE RULES AND IN THIS CHALLENGE INCLUDING THE PRIZES AWARDED, IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. SOME JURISDICTIONS MAY NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. CHECK YOUR LOCAL LAWS FOR ANY RESTRICTIONS OR LIMITATIONS REGARDING THESE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS.
