1.   Eligibility

1.1 Applicants must be a current student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at a School or University in Europe, the Middle East or Africa.

1.2 Applicants must have an expected graduation in 2019, 2020 or have graduated in 2018.

1.3 Google employees are not eligible to apply.

1.4 Persons who are (i) residents of embargoed countries, (ii) ordinarily resident in embargoed countries, or (iii) otherwise prohibited by applicable export controls and sanctions programs are not eligible to apply for this program.

1.5 Applicants must be 18 years of age or older as of 1st of August 2018.

2. How to enter To enter applicants are required to complete the online application form and provide any supplementary information and/or documentation as may be requested by Google from time to time.

3. Application Period. The application process will open on 24th of January 2019 9am BST and will close on the 17th of February 2019 at midnight BST. Entry deadlines may be extended at Google’s sole discretion.

4. Selection process

4.1 Each application will be evaluated and scored based on the following criteria (i) demonstration of passion for digital marketing, business and / or consultancy (ii) academic merit; (iii) demonstration of an interest for tech sector (the “Criteria”).

4.2 Each eligible application (determined in accordance with Section 1 (Eligibility) above) will be reviewed by Google in accordance with the Criteria by an internal panel of Google team members. The top 30 applications (as assessed and determined by the panel of Google team members in their sole discretion against the Criteria) will be successful.

4.3 Notification of successful applicants will take place between the 5th-20th of March by the email address provided at the time of application. 

4.4 Successful applicants will be invited to one or two phone screens with a member of the recruitment team and hiring manager.

4.5 The 30 finalists required to accept the invitation to participate in the Google AdCamp program within 7 days of notification by Google. If successful applicants fail to accept within 7 days, their participation in the program will be forfeited and Google may, in its sole discretion, select an alternative successful applicant, in accordance with the Criteria.

5. Privacy

5.1 Applicants agree that any Personal Information collected in connection with the online application form may be used by Google for purposes of processing applications for the Google AdCamp program and analysis of program productivity. Additionally, applicants agree that this Personal Information may be shared with Google’s partners, affiliates, subsidiaries, successors, licensees and assigns for the purposes of organising and administering the program. The term “Personal Information” as used herein means first name, surname, address, telephone number, email address and any other information applicants provide to Google in connection with the application. All Personal Information that is collected from the applicant is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy, located at: http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/. Applicants acknowledge that Google may transfer any of the applicant’s Personal Information outside of the European Economic Area.

5.2 Applicants understand that they may be contacted by Google in relation to internships, full-time job opportunities and other university programs should they opt-in to receive such communications.

5.3 Successful applicants agree that Google may, from time to time, use their name and/or refer to their university in Google’s promotional materials relating to future Google AdCamp programs.

6. Not an offer or contract of employment

6.1 Under no circumstances shall the submission of an AdCamp application or the participation in the program be construed as an offer or contract of employment with Google. Applicants acknowledge that they submit their application voluntarily and not in confidence or in trust.

6.2 Applicants acknowledge that no confidential, fiduciary, agency or other relationship or implied-in-fact contract now exists between applicant and Google and that no such relationship is established by applicants’ acceptance of these terms and conditions.

7. Running of the Program

7.1 The top 30 applications, as assessed in accordance with the Criteria above, shall be selected to attend the AdCamp program.

7.2 Google AdCamp will run on 11th of April 2019 at Google’s office in Athes, Greece. The program consists of presentations, workshops, group projects and networking/social events in the office and in public locations outside the Google office.

8. Travel and Accommodation

8.1 Successful applicants will be required to travel to and from Athens, Greece on April, 10th 2019 in order to attend the full day program (9.30am - 5.30pm).

8.2 The following travel and accommodation for successful applicants will NOT be organised by Google but by the AdCamp participants themselves. Google will then reimburse the expenses linked with the program post AdCamp.

8.3 Successful applicants who live outside Athens but within Greece will be reimbursed up to 100 euro per person for transport (most reasonable mode) to Athens and hotel rooms if needed for the duration of the event. If travelling outside Greece will be reimbursed up to 250 euro for flights and hotel rooms/Airbnb. 

8.4 Google follows a “No receipt, no payment” policy for reimbursements so no payment will be made for any eligible reimbursements under section 8.4 without appropriate receipts. 

8.5 You must attend Google AdCamp event to request reimbursement.
