Our Roots

The Google's Africa Day Outreach: Creative Bootcamp is orgainised as part of a wider outreach program to Kenya in honour of Africa Day. The foundation of this program as well as the ultimate goal we want to to achieve is rooted in the four pillars below:

               Connect | Progress | Serve | Elevate

Africa Day commemorates the foundation of the African Union, which took place in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia on May 25th, 1963. Africa Day is intended to celebrate and acknowledge the successes of the Organisation of African Unity (OAU now the AU) in the fight against colonialism and apartheid, as well as the progress that Africa has made, while reflecting upon the common challenges that the continent faces in a global environment.
