Week 1:

  • Tweet and tag someone whom you met through the Google Developers community

Week 2:

  • Share your favorite Google Devs Community moment in 2021 
  • Share why someone should join a Google Devs Community. (Additional points if you post a video)

Week 3: 

  • Post a picture of/with your favorite swag.
  • Find and tag a WTM/GDG/GDSC/GDE close to you and say hi.

Rules

How does it work?

  • Every Tuesday in November we will announce new missions.
  • The missions will consist of sharing 1-3 Twitter posts every week. Tweet and get points!
  • Remember to include the hashtag #GoogleDevCommunity in every post!

How do you get points?

Every Monday we will calculate the points that you scored based on the:

  • missions that you completed
  • likes and retweets that you have on those posts.

The points are assigned as follows:

  • 100 points for each mission completed
  • 5 points for every retweet
  • 1 point for each like  

You can be awarded additional points, in the following instances:

  • 200 points if they send the postcard (read more)
  • 200 points for nominating a person for a community award (read more)
  • 200 points for completing all the missions of the rally.
  • Some missions can include additional ways to get points.

Important!

  • Each mission needs to be on a separate post with the hashtag #GoogleDevCommunity in order to receive the full points.
  • If you tweet about a mission more than once we will assign 100 points for the completed mission but add the sum of retweets and likes.

Winners and prizes

Winners

  • The three twitter accounts with the most points will receive a prize (see below).
  • Out of all the Social Media Rally participants with more than 300 points who are present at the Community Connect event we will randomly select two accounts that will also receive a prize.
  • The winners will be announced during the Community Connect event on the 2nd December 2021.
