Speakers:

Jerome Poudevigne, Startup Architect, Google Cloud for Startups

Jerome Poudevigne is a Startup Architect at Google Cloud, and helps startups take off on the Google Cloud platform. Originally from France, Jerome got his first computer at the age of 13, when CPUs were 8 bits and 16K of memory was a luxury, and immediately started hacking around, putting together math applications, video games and copy protection schemes. He started as a developer for Airbus, then accidentally moved to the Silicon Valley, got bitten by the startup bug, created 3 companies, sold 2 of them and spectacularly failed another. He has lost track of how many operating systems and programming languages he has used (he just knows COBOL is one of them), but still enjoy passionately debating about the merits of the actor model in embedded software and generally anything IT related.

Mete Atamel, Senior Developer Advocate, Google

Mete is a Developer Advocate at Google, focused on helping developers with Google Cloud. As a long-time Java and C# developer, he likes to compare the two ecosystems. Prior to Google, he worked at Microsoft, Skype, Adobe, EMC, and Nokia building apps and services on various web, mobile and cloud platforms. Originally from the island of Cyprus, he currently lives in Greenwich of London, not too far away from the prime meridian.
