Meet Lara
Lara Hudson spent the first 12 years of her career in the financial services industry as the Public Relations Director for the only local community bank in Greenwood, SC. She transitioned to the non-profit sector working for the local YMCA as the Marketing Director.
In her current role as the Community Development Director for the City of Greenwood, she is responsible for the promotion, growth and economic development of the City of Greenwood and the Uptown district. Throughout her career, she has played an active role in the community, serving on numerous boards and committees whose focus was continuing the success and advancement of the Greenwood community. She currently serves on the board of the Greenwood Area Small Business Development Center, Ten at the Top, Greenwood Community Theater, South Carolina Festivals and Events Association. She is also an active member of the Main Street program at the state and national level.
