Join us along with Dustin Rosen (Wonder Ventures), and Semil Shah (Haystack & Lightspeed Venture Partners) for a panel talk about their experience with investing in San Francisco versus Los Angeles. This panel will be moderated by LJ Erwin (Google Cloud for Startups).

About Dustin Rosen

Dustin Rosen is the founder of Wonder Ventures, a venture capital fund focused on funding LA-based startups at the earliest stages. Wonder Ventures is an early investor in more than 40 of LA's most exciting startups, like Clutter, Tala, Honey and more. Previously, Dustin founded a mobile startup, Pose, and as CEO, led the company through development, growth and three rounds of venture capital funding before an acquisition in 2013.

About Semil Shah

Semil is an investor and writer based out of Silicon Valley. He created and invests out of a small fund called Haystack, which is proud to be an early investor in over 70 companies, including Instacart, DoorDash, Hired, Hashicorp, Giphy, Envoy, OpenDoor, eShares, Airmap, Clara Labs, Wag Walking, and Managed By Q (see full portfolio here). Semil is also a Venture Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners, was selected to the “Midas Brink List 2017” by Forbes, and is proud to serve on the Advisory Boards of StrictlyVC and The Alpha Network.

About LJ Erwin (Moderator)

LJ Erwin leads the Google Cloud for Startups program is LA and SF/Bay Area. Specifically, he advises founders and CTOs of early stage startups on how to build, grow, and scale with Google Cloud.

Prior to joining Google Cloud, LJ was a partner at Andreessen Horowitz and focused on sourcing startups and managing the early stage investor network for the firm.
