Future London is an Evening Standard project aimed at changing the lives of millions of Londoners.
The Evening Standard launched Future London to highlight and tackle the issues that matter most to our city, including air quality, plastic pollution, healthcare and the digital skills gap. Research shows that by 2024 in the UK there will be four million more high skilled jobs than there are high skilled workers.
In London today 11 per cent of the working population do not have full basic digital skills. That is why the Evening Standard has joined forces with Google to help close the skills gap.
Working together, the Evening Standard and the Google Digital Garage will provide free digital training to any Londoner who wants it, giving our citizens the chance to upskill and achieve their ambitions.
