The first class of this accelerator is open to startups based in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Follow our social media channels listed below for updates on future cohorts.

The accelerator is entirely remote besides 3 weeks of on-site commitment in Berlin (March 23rd), Tel Aviv (June) and San Francisco (late September). Google will cover travel expenses (flight and accommodations) to these events.

Unfortunately, the first class is geared towards for-profit organizations. We encourage you to look at Google Impact Challenge programs next year which target non-profit organizations. 

Thanks for submitting your application! Below is our timeline for selecting startups. We will reach out via email if we would like more information about your startup. Please expect an update on your application status by mid February.

Application Review: January 13, 2020 - January 26, 2020

Startup Acceptances: January 27, 2020 - February 17, 2020

Startups accepted into the sustainability accelerator can expect the following equity-free support from Google:

  • 1:1 mentoring and support from a combination of Google mentors and carefully chosen external mentors
  • Assistance with technology, product, design, growth (including fundraising), and leadership training
  • Pairing with a Google Startup Success Manager to help connect your startup with specific resources within and outside Google
  • Inspirational keynote talks, panel discussions, and workshops with relevant experts
  • Membership in a collaborative, supportive community of relevant social impact partners
  • Partnerships with relevant nonprofit organizations

We will be hosting three in-person events in Berlin (March 23rd), Tel Aviv (June) and San Francisco (late September).

The accelerator will kick off once you are accepted into the program the week of February 3rd and come to a close at the last in-person event late September.
