The Indie Games Festival is Google Play’s first gaming festival, happening in downtown San Francisco. This one day event will feature 30 new or unreleased indie games from US and Canada-based indie game developers. The festival is free and open to the public, but we do require pre-registration. During the festival, participants will be able to play each of the featured games, interact with gaming developers, and vote for their favorite five games. After the voting session, the top 15 games will be presented on stage and a judging panel of industry experts will select the top three games.
Join us for an exciting opportunity to connect with fellow game lovers, win prizes and to celebrate the art of gaming!
What is Google Play?
Google Play gives you one place to find, enjoy and share your favorite entertainment, from apps to movies, music, books and more, on the web or any device. Google Play is also the largest store for digital content. Over the past year, more than 65 billion apps and games were downloaded from the store.
We are committed to helping indie game developers thrive and highlighting the best available games for you to play. We recently launched the Indie Corner, a new collection on Google Play, that highlights amazing games built by indie developers. It is an opportunity to discover the latest and most innovative releases, the current favorites and must-have Indie masterpieces all in one place.
If you are a developer and would like to submit your game to Indie Corner for review, follow the process here: g.co/indiecornersubmission
