We hope that you will join us for Google Sandbox, a program designed for industry professionals to explore career opportunities, gain deeper insight into Google's technology, business and culture, continue professional development, share best practices, and build new relationships with fellow professionals.
The Google Sandbox Machine Learning Lab is a new opportunity within our Sandbox event series designed to help software engineers develop their understanding of fundamental machine learning concepts while providing a close look at how Google approaches AI and Machine Learning.
This two-day program will provide a practical introduction to machine learning along with a close look at how Google approaches AI and Machine Learning, featuring tech talks, panels, hands-on work in small groups, and networking opportunities.
The Google Sandbox Machine Learning Lab is a two-day program taking place over two Fridays (August 10th and 17th) in our Seattle office.
Though open to everyone, the program has a focus on people from communities and backgrounds that have been historically underrepresented in the tech industry. If you're interested in attending, please complete this short application form. Applications will be accepted until Wednesday, July 25th.
We have limited seats available, so we encourage you to apply early if you'd like to attend. Every applicant will be notified of their status on or before Friday, July 27th.
Please note: Prior to attending the program, we recommend that you take some time to go through Google’s free Machine Learning Crash Course online at your convenience (~20 hours of content). Though completion of the online crash course is not required to participate in the live Learning Lab, it will provide a greater foundation to ML than the live program alone, and will also provide context for the concepts covered in the live program. During the live program, you’ll also have the opportunity to apply what you’ve learned online and ask questions about the online course material directly of Google experts.
