Ever wondered what being a Google engineer is really like?
We hope that you will join us for Google Sandbox, a series designed to bring local tech communities and Googlers together. Attendees will learn about Google's technology, development, and engineering principles through tech talks, panels, and intimate discussions with Google engineers. The Seattle event will focus on some of Google’s exciting work in the Mobile domain, including Ads, Communications, Maps, Machine Intelligence, Google Cloud, and Virtual Reality.
The Sandbox series is open to everyone, but has a dedicated focus on engaging historically underrepresented groups in tech. The name "Google Sandbox" is inspired by the software development term "sandbox", an environment for experimentation, testing, and learning. Google Sandbox will be an opportunity to make new connections, interact with Googlers in authentic, intimate settings, explore Google career opportunities, and get a peek behind the curtain at a bit of the Google magic.
We're bringing the Google Sandbox series to Seattle on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 1st and 2nd. The venue will be announced shortly, so keep an eye on the website for the most up to date information. If you're interested in attending, please complete this short application form. We have limited seats available, and we expect that slots will fill quickly, so we encourage you to apply early if you'd like to attend. Applications are due Monday, July 24th and every applicant will be notified of their status on or before Tuesday, July 25th.
