Rosie “the Closer” Zepeda is the Founder and CEO of Compelling Conversations, an inclusive leadership training and diversity digital marketing consulting company (www.compelling-conversations.com). She is also the Founder of Latina Success Network (LSN), an organization dedicated to culturally relevant self and professional development for Latinas (www.latinasuccessnetwork.com).
Rosie provides organizations with customized trainings that bring teams together to foster human growth and deliver business results. Her consultancy specializes on how to digitally reach and influence underrepresented populations using culturally appropriate public relations models. She is an expert on how to engage with: Millennials, Latinas and Women.
In May 2016 Rosie was awarded a Woman of Influence Award by the Silicon Valley Business Journal. This award is only given to 100 women in Silicon Valley each year. In the same year, she was one of 6 women honored by New York Life with a “Latinas Con Vision Award.”
Rosie and her entrepreneur minded family immigrated (undocumented) to the USA from Michoacan, Mexico, when she was 4 years old. At the age of 9 years old, and out of financial necessity, Rosie and her father started their first business.
She is a graduate of Santa Clara University where she received a BA in Theater Arts/Spanish Literature and Communication. She was a Reader’s Digest Fellow at Herbert Lehman College for her Master’s in Education and a Teach for America/AmeriCorps Alumni. For 11 years she worked as a Business Development Strategist for two top Fortune 100 tech companies in NYC and San Francisco. Rosie is trained in and has been singing Mariachi from a very young age. Her favorite pastimes are hiking with her toy poodle, Mimi, and watching documentaries.
