STEM

Across March and April we will be focusing on how teachers can use Google Workspace for Education and Chromebooks to support STEM from KS2 through to KS5. 

Google for Edu

Create your own crowdsourced Science experiments in your class, school or community. In this session, you'll discover Google Workspace for Education tools suitable for Key Stage 2 & 3 to collect, analyse and explore live experimental data. Participants will take part in an experiment where you will need to complete a simple activity and record your results. You’ll then combine your data with the rest of the group to create an interactive live dashboard.

Become a 3D designer on a Chromebook. In this session, you’ll explore online tools suitable for KS2 and KS3 students that allow you to create 3D objects by following an interactive walkthrough. You’ll be able to create a whole 3D world that you can step into using the magic of VR.

Explore tools available from Google for teaching coding on a Chromebook. From simple block-based sequences for KS2 and KS3 to text-based programs utilising Googles APIs for KS4 and KS5. Your learners will be able to create their own masterpieces entirely web-based.

Literacy & Numeracy Focused Webinars for Primary Schools

In the month of May, we will be focusing on how Primary School teachers can use Google Workspace for Education and Chromebooks to support Literacy and Numeracy.

Join Google Certified Trainers to learn about what Google Workspace for Education tools are available to facilitate and develop numeracy skills. In this session we will be constructing a Google Form to survey teachers, families and friends’ diets, analyse results in Sheets and develop a food plan in Docs to encourage healthy eating! 

Join Google Certified Trainers and explore how within many Google Apps, you are able to personalise literacy focused learning experiences for all pupils, using default Chromebook functionality and extension tools. 

Join Google Certified Trainers to learn how to create an e-portfolio template for your students and demonstrate how to incorporate a variety of literacy focused media that will personalise learning for all pupils. You will learn how to share templates through Google Classroom so students can access and edit to showcase their learning journey whilst, developing oracy and communication skills.
