The health and wellbeing of Grow with Google NYC Learning Center staff, partners, learners and the overall community is our top priority. Due to the growing concern around the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Grow with Google NYC Learning Center will be closed from March 9 until further notice.

Grow with Google is our initiative to help create economic opportunities for all Americans. At Google, we believe the opportunities created by technology should be available to everyone. Through Grow with Google, we aim to help everyone across America – those who make up the workforce of today and the students who will drive the workforce of tomorrow – access the best of Google’s training and tools to grow their skills, careers, and businesses.

The Grow with Google New York City Learning Center is a temporary educational space connected to our office on 8th Avenue which will offer all New Yorkers free digital skills workshops across a range of topics, 1:1 coaching, and community events.

Google has been proud to call New York home since we opened our first office here nearly two decades ago. We’ve always been committed to supporting our neighbors and the NYC community and are excited to build on that commitment by opening our front doors to New Yorkers who want to grow their careers, skills and businesses.

The Grow with Google New York City Learning Center is located on the ground floor of our office at 111 8th Avenue between West 15th and West 16th Streets.

The Grow with Google New York City Learning Center offers digital skills workshops on a range of helpful topics from growing your small business online, to creating a compelling resume, and learning how to code. We also have 1:1 coaching for more personalized support and train-the-trainer sessions for local organizations. Programming is free and open to the public.

Yes, anyone can visit the Grow with Google New York City Learning Center. We welcome job seekers, small business owners, educators, students, non-profit partners and anyone who wants to learn or upgrade their digital skills. This also includes people who are visiting or who are not permanently living in New York City.

The Grow with Google NYC Learning Center has partnered with a variety of local nonprofits in the NYC area. If your organization is interested in partnering with us, visit our community partners page for information on how your group can host programming at the Grow with Google NYC Learning Center.

We do have a group request form for school administrators or educators to fill out and request a Grow with Google NYC Learning Center tour and workshop for their student group. Once you fill that out, we’ll get back to you within 14 business days. Please note that dates are limited and are filled on a first come, first serve basis.  

Yes. Google strives to make the Grow with Google New York City Learning Center open and accessible to everyone, regardless of ability. Guests with special needs should email us at growwithgooglenyc@google.com. This information will be kept private and will be distributed only to the individuals who need to know, in order to accommodate your request.

Our furry friends add to a playful, dynamic atmosphere in Google's workspace, and more importantly, Googlers enjoy having them around -- we know that dogs can be an extension of your family. That said, Spot and Fido won't be permitted inside our Grow with Google NYC Learning Center unless they're a service animal. Thanks in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

No. The Google IT Support Professional Certificate program is taught online through Coursera. You can learn more about the program at: https://grow.google/programs/it-support/.

Unfortunately, no. Our Grow with Google workshops are only being offered in-person at the Grow with Google NYC Learning Center. However, if you are unable to attend, check out google.com/grow for the best of Google’s digital skills trainings and tools. The Grow with Google website has trainings, professional certificates and other resources for job seekers, students, teachers, local business owners, and developers.
