Join fellow pioneers in higher education

You're invited to apply to join a select group of faculty and staff from higher education institutions around the world to share ideas, learn and grow together, and develop big ideas for higher education. We are looking for instructional designers, faculty technology integration specialists, librarians/media specialists, and faculty members or other academic staff who are leading the way in developing incredible learning experiences and supporting teaching & learning through the integration of technology.

Participants with expertise in instructional design, interest in technology integration, and/or a mandate supporting other educators with Google and other technology tools are invited to apply. 


Two days of learning at Google

At the two day academy, you'll receive training in the best ways to leverage Google's tools in higher education, and walk away with an action plan for leveraging this technology with faculty and students back at your institution. You can expect:

  • An experience that is contextually relevant for higher education, and connects you with others working to drive exceptional learning and tech adoption
  • Action-oriented, immediately applicable training on leveraging Google tools to enhance teaching and learning at your institution
  • Hands-on experience with Google tools and turnkey resources to support implementation back at your institution
  • Opportunities to directly connect and provide Google with feedback on existing tools
  • A chance to visit a Google office, and connect with members of Google's product teams

Participants will be selected based on their:

  • Demonstrated understanding and application of effective integration of technology in a student-centered learning environment
  • Proven track record for sharing best practices in using educational technology, and their role/mandate to share what they have learned and train other educators in and beyond their institution
  • Goals for improving their own understanding of and supporting other educators in technology implementation
  • Ability to commit one and half days of action-oriented, hands-on professional development at a Google office
  • Ongoing commitment to lead training back at their institution, and beyond their institution as relevant
