Get ready for a Holiday Party that's out-of-this-world!
This year's Annual Core Infra Holiday Party will be at the Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose.
Tour The Tech's full-range of interactive exhibits, get your boogie on at our silent disco, or step outside to sip on gourmet hot chocolate while catching a telescopic glimpse of the cosmos.
There will be a wide range of activities, and delicious food & drinks to enjoy, making this a lovely opportunity to bring along a friend or loved one, and mingle with your coworkers.
Shuttles
Shuttles are the quickest and easiest way to get to and from your party in the cosmos.

Inbound shuttle will leave The Tech Museum for SFO-SPE at 11 PM.
Driving & Parking
We strongly recommend shuttling or considering other transportation options. Downtown San Jose parking lots, Uber and Lyft will be either completely full or heavily impacted on 12/8.
Nearby events we are aware of include Christmas in the Park, Silent Night at SAP Center, another Google holiday party across the street w/ 6,000 invitees, and countless shows at downtown performing arts venues.
We are unable to host or reimburse for parking in downtown San Jose, however there will be options for park and ride nearby at SJC-GOVO, see Shuttle column for more info.
Public Transportation
VTA - The Tech is conveniently located next to VTA stops for both the light rail and the bus.
Caltrain - The Tech is less than a 20-minute walk from the San Jose Diridon Station (65 Cahill St.).
Capitol Corridor - Amtrak’s Capitol Corridor rail system connects with a number of transit networks to make car-free travel easy.
BART - From the Fremont BART station, take the VTA Express Bus 181 and disembark at Almaden Avenue and San Fernando. The museum is a short walk from there.

Photo Booths
Capture the excitement of Intergalactic Space Travel with one of our bespoke photo booths!
Rooftop Stargazing & Hot Chocolate
Walk outside, sip on some gourmet hot chocolate, and take a look at the stars in the night.
Update: Telescopes have been cancelled due to limited visibility caused by the weather.
Silent Disco
Experience music in a whole new way. Guests will wear wireless headphones and a silent atmosphere instantly transforms into a dance party of your very own.
Menu items are subject to change.
Beverages
We will serve beer, wine, and assorted non-alchoholic drinks at this event. There will also be gourmet hot chocolate served on the rooftop.

What is the recommended attire/dress code?
Come as you will! We generally see a mix of cocktail attire and outlandish on-theme costumes at our year-end bash. Don't feel like dressing up? That's just fine. Just like at the office, we encourage you to wear whatever makes you comfortable.
How do I gain entry to the party?
Bring a printed or digital copy of the QR code included in your confirmation email (titled "Registration Confirmation | 2018: Intergalactic Space Odyssey"). This QR Code will act as your ticket for the event, and will be used to confirm your registration. Upon arrival with your QR code, you’ll receive a wristband with drink tickets at check-in. If you are not arriving with your guest, you can forward them your unique QR code.
I'm registered, but the QR code in my confirmation email won't load. How do I get in?
If you are having trouble locating your email or QR code, you can alternatively provide photo ID and your first and last name at check-in. A guest services rep can manually look up your reservation and check you in. This may slow down entry so please double check for an email titled "Registration Confirmation | 2018: Intergalactic Space Odyssey".
Are vendors and contractors invited?
Sadly, registration will only be open to FTEs and Interns. That said, each FTE and intern is allowed a +1, and may bring a guest of their choosing.
I am based in an office outside of the Bay Area, can I attend this event?
Unfortuately, Googlers are only allowed to attend one holiday party per year. Most of our global offices will be holding their own year-end celebrations. If this is not the case, please speak to your manager to learn if this is an event you should be attending.
Can I bring a guest?
Yes! You'll have a chance to indicate a +1 on the registration page. Please note that guests must be 18 years or older to attend.
May I bring a young child as my +1?
No, this event is not suitible for children and guests must be 18 years or older to attend.
Can my guest use the shuttles?
Yes! Registered guests will be allowed to use shuttle and may utilize parking at specified shuttle locations where "parking available" is listed.
Will alcohol be served?
Yes, beer & wine will be served at the event. For those who don't wish to imbibe, we'll also have a selection of non-alcoholic mock-tails, and gourmet hot chocolate on the rooftop.
