Google Launchpad Mentors are carefully selected experts in their field and reviewed by experienced mentors from previous Launchpad events and a committee of Googlers. We do have mentors in the area of Product Strategy, User Experience and User Interface, Technology and Marketing. Additionally we have the Final Day mentors from various additional fields e.g pitching, investment, legal matters or recruiting.

Our head mentors have several years of startup experience and are experts in their area of mentoring. Additionally they are experienced mentors from previous Launchpads. They helped Google to evaluate startups  and know exactly what the needs of a startups are and how to mentor well.

Currently the CMO and Creative Director of CareerFoundry, Emil is a full stack marketer, UX thought leader, and speaker on many topics.

An experienced mentor for startup accelerators and advisor to several companies, his mantras include "assume you are wrong until proven right" and "good marketing is an investment, not an expense".

Apart from his time spent with startups, he travelled the world for seven years as a freelancer, spent four years as a professional juggler in the United States, and started two companies of his own.

Tom is an experienced UX researcher and designer, with a strong preference for working in Agile development teams, while also understanding that this has not yet been universally adopted. He studied Human-computer Interaction as part of his Masters in Information Science from the School of Information at the University of Michigan. His first job after graduating was as a High-Tech Anthropologist™ at Menlo Innovations, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he worked on projects for companies of all sizes, including many startups. 

Based in Berlin since 2006, Tom has worked with early-to-mid-stage startups as well as multi-national corporations. He is currently helping Delivery Hero with the integration of UX practices across all holdings as their Senior UX Researcher and Designer. In addition, Tom has participated in UXcamp Europe – one of the largest gatherings of UX professionals in the world, since its inception in 2009 and been part of the organisation team since 2013.

Marc is a product strategist, consultant & founder who has worked on consumer, enterprise and medical software products. Marc is also providing consultation to the German government on issues around the digital economy.

Marc also helps evaluate whether the UX will fit the business purpose of the product, and whether the product marketing is correct. His extensive network provides customers, funding, publicity and talent.

In addition to working at his own companies and consultating for others, Marc delivers keynote presentations about innovation and product management; mentors startups; and commits himself to the development of the Berlin startup ecosystem. Steffen co-Founded Gini right after studying Industrial Engineering & Management.
