Yes, Google will provide free transportation shuttles from Kokota International Airport to Swiss Spirit Hotel, Accra on Wednesday, September 9th for WTM leads and DSC Leads arriving for the WTM Summit and DSC Summit & on Thursday, September 10th for GDG Organizers. If you are arriving before or after these dates, you will need to arrange for your own transportation. Once you arrive at the airport (after you exit) look out for Placards that will have the word SWISS SPIRIT or walk down your right to the "ALISA LOUNGE" at the arrivals lounge. The wifi at the airport can come in handy here.
Priority is given to female GDG organizers who have indicated interest in attending the summit.
The Summit is for GDG, WTM and DSC organizers only, and due to attendee size we are unable to accommodate +1 guests for any portion of the Summit. If you are traveling with a non-GDG organizer (ie: friend or family member), please make your own hotel arrangements.
- Laptop ( If you have one), please note that it is important to bring a laptop as you'll need it for the hands-on training. Google will not be providing laptop for anyone during this event. Toiletry items (towels will be provided at the hotel)
- Dress code. Feel free to wear comfortable and casual outfits.
- Native attire (if you have one) for the closing ceremony on the evening of Friday, 21 Sept 2018 . We would love to showcase the different cultures from all over Africa on our final night together :) To add some colour to the event, see if you can bring along handheld flags of your country/ other national emblems that are allowed on the plane :)
- And Finally a Camera (optional) to capture the amazing moments we will share in Nairobi!
Yes. Google will provide hotel accommodations for 4 nights for WTM and DSC Leads attending the WTM and DSC Summit respectively and 3 nights for GDG Organizers. WTM and DSC leads will arrive on Wednesday, September 9th and GDG Organizers on Thursday, Spetember 10th, 2018. These are double rooms that will be shared by two GDG organizers.
Single rooms are not being provided, nor are rooms with +1 guests. If you require either, please make your own hotel arrangements.

Yes. A travel agency will reach out to you to help plan your arrival and departure. You'll be expected to arrive a day before the summit and depart Accra on Sunday, September 15th, 2019.
The vendor should have reached out to you to advise on available flights for arrival and departure from Accra, Ghana.

The event will not be live-streamed, but select keynotes may be recorded and shared after the event.
Yes, although Google will take care of Flights, Accommodation, ground transport and food during scheduled events, Google will NOT be held responsible for any unauthorized fees incurred during your stay in the hotel (i.e extra phone calls, laundry, room service, soft drinks etc). Please be aware and make arrangements to come with cash towards anything that you may need that is not covered. Note, that you will NOT be able to check out if these extra fees are NOT paid for.
