Session Description
This session will provide attendees a broad understanding of infrastructure capabilities on Google Cloud Platform. Attendees will gain knowledge and be able to describe ways in which customers could use Google Cloud Platform for Application Modernization, Infrastructure Modernization, Data Management, and a cursory understanding of Containers and Microservices. The attendee will also gain knowledge that will assist in choosing among and using appropriate deployment strategies on Google Cloud Platform.
Objective
Gain an overall understanding of the below GCP focus areas:
- Overview: Gain a basic understanding of the value of cloud computing and the competitive advantages of Google Cloud
- Application Hosting: Google App Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine, and Google Compute Engine
- Storage: Google Cloud Storage, Google Cloud SQL, Google Cloud Bigtable, and Google Cloud Datastore
- Monitor: Google Stackdriver, Google’s monitoring, logging, and diagnostics system
