Stories are all around us. In this assignment you will understand and explore various facets of storytelling, learn the basics from one of your favourite storytellers and then, show us your creative side by writing your very own short story.

Juniors

8-11 years 

 

1. Explore Something New

Explore the magical world of stories with us and then turn author to create your own! All you need is imagination.

Step 1: Download the Read Along application via this link on your Android device

Step 2: Go to the very long stories section (बहुत लंबी कहानियां) and read ‘The New Girl’

Step 3: Once you have completed the story, get ready to answer some fun questions on it. 

2. Create Something Interesting

Bring out the writer in you and share with us your best-seller. You can pen a mystery-thriller, take us with you on a trip into fantasy or inspire us with a real life experience. Let your creative juices flow and create your own original short story in the assignment below. Your imagination is the limit.

Seniors

12-16 years

We know you are going to enjoy these assignments. That’s why we don’t want any glitches, technical or otherwise, to ruin the fun. So here are a few things to keep in mind to ensure we receive your project.

  • Start the assignment only when you have completed the tasks mentioned above.
  • Once you start the assignment, make sure you don’t close it till you finish. Your answers won’t be saved and you will have to redo it.
  • Your email ID is your unique identifier. Use the same email address across all assignments to help us evaluate you better and contact you easily.
  • For Part 2 of the assignment, remember the below mentioned points:
  1. Submit your written story consisting of not more than 2500 characters.
  2. You can upload your short story directly on the form itself.
  3. Optional: To help us understand your story better, you could also send us a few self drawn pictures or small videos to help set context to your story. The file size should not exceed 10MB
  • All assignments need to be submitted by 25.7.2020, post this date we won’t be able to accept your submissions.
  • Most importantly, have fun. No minus points for that at Google!
