What does Black Joy mean to you? Alongside Word on the Curb, we unpack the phenomenon of the everyday joys we share. To us, black Joy encompasses a kaleidoscope of experiences worth cherishing; so we're bringing some of our favorite people together, who remind us of the best parts of ourselves and we're celebrating joy this Black History Month.

How's Our New Look?

For this year's Black History Month visuals, we're collaborating with self taught Zimbabwean-born Manchester-based illustrator and artist, Camilla Ru. Her work incorporates her African heritage as well as her love for vibrant colours and connecting people through storytelling. Camilla explores and combines various forms of creativity; drawing inspiration from a range of life experiences to expand imaginations and spark joy.

Join the community

In 2016, some of the largest and most-influential Black creators on YouTube came together for the first-ever #YouTubeBlack Summit. That moment was the start of a movement (both on our platform and off) that became the #YouTube Black community.

This is a space where content creators, no matter how big or small, can make new connections, get access to resources and let us know what they want the future of YouTube to look like.
