Join us for an interactive discussion and inspirational presentations

on digital citizenship, digital skills and how to empower young people with the necessary skills to make the right choices online. We'll be joined by policymakers, NGOs, students and child safety experts.

We are getting online at a younger and younger age. At Google, we believe that young people should learn to be upstanders, not bystanders, creating a fun, positive and vibrant community online. This means learning how to be a digital leader, not just a citizen, using the web to promote tolerance and empathy, and knowing how to respond to threats online and how to use tools such as flagging and comment moderation.

The event will address these and many other digital challenges young people might encounter when navigating online such as misinformation, scapegoating, hate and extremism.
