Paul Miller

Paul Miller
Senior Analyst Forrester

Paul serves the CIO role, focusing on the industrial internet of things (IoT) and cloud computing. His research explores how new technologies challenge established organizations and their business models. Cloud computing may not always save its adopters money, but cloud-based approaches consistently provide the flexibility and agility required to win, serve, and retain business in the age of the customer. Paul also looks at the way IoT is creating opportunities in sectors from healthcare and utilities to manufacturing and retail. At the simplest level, connected devices are used to track the use of expensive physical assets. But the opportunities are far larger than that, altering the ways in which machines are built, sold, used, and maintained, and transforming the relationship between makers, operators, and customers in ways that we are only just beginning to understand.

Erwin Huizenga

Erwin Huizenga
Machine Learning Product Specialist, EMEA, at Google

Solving business challenges with Data Science is what I love to do. For me the era of Big Data means endless opportunity. I combine machine learning with curiosity to discover data insights that empower companies to perform better and gain competitive advantage. As a Data Scientist I wear many hats: with my business consultant hat I speak the same language a business manager does; other times I speak "nerd" language and get my hands dirty programming. I feel comfortable moving between different cultures, companies and new technologies. When not at work, you can find me at a meetup, traveling the globe or working on my trading algorithm.
