Frequently Asked Questions

Are you already registered or considering attending a Grow with Google Maryland event? Here’s what you should know before joining us.

Grow with Google is an initiative that draws on our 20-year history of building products, platforms, and services that help people and businesses grow. Through Grow with Google, we aim to help everyone across America – those who make up the workforce of today and the students who will drive the workforce of tomorrow – access the best of Google’s training and tools to grow their skills, careers, and businesses.

We are proud that in 2017, 23,000 Maryland businesses, website publishers, and nonprofits benefitted from Google tools and that we helped provide $3.56 billion of economic activity for Maryland organizations (source). And we know that for many small businesses, learning how to harness the Internet can help them grow their business.

We also recognize the importance of digital skills when searching for a job in Maryland. According to the National Skills Coalition, middle-skills jobs account for 48% of all jobs in Maryland but only 38% of state workers are trained to the middle-skill level.

We’re excited to partner with terrific libraries and community organizations throughout the state to help Maryland job seekers and small businesses learn digital skills.

We'll have three events in Maryland during the week of February 25th.

Annapolis: Monday, February 25
Baltimore: Wednesday, February 27
Salisbury: Friday, March 1

Our three events will be held in the following locations:

Annapolis:
Eastport-Annapolis Neck Community Library
269 Hillsmere Drive
Annapolis, MD 21403

Baltimore:
Southeast Anchor Library
3601 Eastern Avenue
Baltimore, MD 21224

Salisbury:
Wicomico Public Libraries - Downtown Branch
122 S Division Street
Salisbury, MD 21801

That’s right, there is no cost to attend a Grow with Google Maryland event.

Yes, there is complimentary parking available at each event. We’ll post more information soon.

Annapolis: Complimentary parking is available in the parking lot behind the library off of Hillsmere St.
Baltimore: Complimentary street parking is available surrounding the library.
Salisbury: There is a parking lot across the street that is complimentary for 2 hours. Every hour after that will cost one dollar per hour.

You’ll want to bring something to take notes with -- a laptop (we’ll have free wifi) or a pen & paper are recommended so you don’t miss any information. Also consider bringing a light sweater or jacket just in case.

You can register for the events here.

Unfortunately, this means the workshop is at capacity and we’re unable to take any additional guests for that workshop. Although it’s unlikely, if we do happen to have extra space on event day, we will create a stand-by line and admit guests on a first-come, first-served basis. We'll do our best to let you in, but it is not guaranteed. If you aren't able to pre-register for a certain workshop, we encourage you to check out our online resources at google.com/grow.

In order to accommodate as many people as possible, please only sign up for one workshop. You'll only be able to pick one of the workshops in each location.
