Andrew Widdowson is a Staff Software Engineer in Site Reliability Engineering at Google. He is the tech lead of SRE EDU, which trains engineers in large scale systems engineering. Additionally, he is oncall for Google Search. In his spare time, Andrew serves as chair of the Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science Alumni Advisory Board. Andrew contributed chapter 28 of the Google+O'Reilly book on Site Reliability Engineering, entitled "Accelerating SREs to On-Call and Beyond: How Can I Strap a Jetpack to My Newbies While Keeping Senior SREs Up to Speed?".

Bridget Brennan is a technical program manager and a manager of TPMs in SRE at Google. In addition to TPM work, She delivers trainings in inclusion, leadership, and product development and is an advocate and mentor for TPMs. Bridget has worked for 25+ years in engineering/operations, engineering management, and program management, first with wireless carriers and infrastructure providers and since May 2014 with Google.

Melissa is the Engineering Director for the Google Cloud Platform Site Reliability team, responsible for the availability, efficiency, and performance of all GCP services. She has two decades of experience with highly scalable distributed systems design and operation, holding senior positions at Amazon.com, Nordstrom, and several startups, and joined Google in 2015.

Joel Becker

Joel Becker

Joel Becker joined Google in 2011 as a Site Reliability Engineer on Google Websearch. He also co-founded Google's internal monitoring frontend. Prior to joining Google, Joel spent 11 years as a Linux Kernel engineer. He still nominally maintains two filesystems in the Linux Kernel, the configfs configuration filesystem and the ocfs2 cluster filesystem. Before that, he was a "large scale" AIX sysadmin at IBM. "Large scale" is in quotes because the 1990s had no idea what Google Scale would look like :-)

Tim Craig

Tim Craig joined Google as a Technical Program Manager in Site Reliability Engineering to help run the company wide DiRT (Disaster Recovery Testing) program. Since then, Tim has focused on automation efforts for testing, recovery, and software development; working with teams of engineers to deliver internal software used to improve efficiency and reduce toil for efforts such as testing, data integrity, incident management, and capacity planning. Prior to Google, Tim has managed data centers, developed disaster recovery strategies and implementations, and general infrastructure development and maintenance at small and medium scale companies.
