Kristie Canegallo

Kristie Canegallo 
VP, Trust & Safety 

Kristie Canegallo is Google’s Vice President of Trust & Safety, a position she has held since 2018. In that role, Kristie leads the global team that develops and enforces Google’s product policies. Trust & Safety works to keep Google’s users safe, prevent abuse across products, and ensure Google is a trusted source of information.

Prior to joining Google, Kristie served in a range of domestic policy, national security, and management roles in the George W. Bush and Barack Obama Administrations, concluding as Assistant to the President and Deputy Chief of Staff from 2014 through January 2017. Previously, Kristie served on the National Security Council staff and worked at the Department of Defense, including in Iraq and Afghanistan.

She holds a Master of Arts in Strategic Studies from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Colgate University. 

David Graff

David Graff
VP, Global Policy & Standards

David Graff is Vice President of Google's Global Policy & Standards team, within Trust & Safety. David is responsible for leading an internationally based group of policy experts and legal professionals that develop policies to improve user experiences across a wide variety of Google products, including Google Search, Maps, Geo, Cloud, Blogger, Ads, and more.

Before joining Google, David spent over twenty-five years in high-profile roles with public and private companies, serving in roles such as General Counsel, Executive Vice President for Corporate Development, and Executive Officer of Online Intelligence.

David is a frequent speaker and panelist on issues relating to emerging technologies and content regulation. Based in San Francisco, he is the proud father of two teenagers, Eli and William. Graff’s wife, Dawn Porter—also a Georgetown Law Center graduate—is an award-winning filmmaker and the co-founder of independent film and television production company, Trilogy Films. Porter directed the Emmy-nominated documentary film, “Gideon’s Army,” and most recently a four-part Netflix series titled “Bobby Kennedy for President.”
