Registered and Invited to attend The Google's Africa Day Outreach: Creative Campus?  Here’s what you should know.

Guests are not allowed. Entry is strictly granted after registration has been confirmed

Passes along with name badges will be handed out on the morning of the first day of the event. Please bring your confirmation of registration along with you.

On arrival you will be asked for Valid Identification please ensure you have this on you. Along with your event invitation email, entry will not be granted without your event invitation email

Laptop - it’s not essential but you will be taking part in workshops so it may come in handy for research or presentation purposes. 

Yes, we recommend attending both days to get the most out of the experience.

Yes, lunch will be served on both days

This event is an invitation basis only. We will not admit anyone who has not received a Invitation email.

Please note that the Registration confimation email is not the same as the event invitation email.

 Over the two day event, expect to hear from expert professionals who will share with your their journey and top tips into joining the industry. You will take part in masterclasses with top filmmakers, have an opportunity to exercise your creative skills by tackling a creative brief and receive support from top industry professionals.  

There is no obligatory pre-work but Mzamo Misato, Google Marketing Director Sub Saharan Africa  and our Day 1 Keynote speaker has provided an extensive list of his favourite books and authors on the event website. Use this list to either purchase these books in advance, or you could research the authors to unearth their work via Podcasts or YouTube videos.

Attendees will work in groups to tackle a creative brief Your group will develop a concept to be pitched to our panel of judges made of top Creative Directors and Full details of the brief will be shared with attendees at the end of Day 1.

On day one we will be hosting a Happy Hour session, it will give you an opportunity to mix with guest speakers and fellow attendees.
