Session: YouTube For All - Importance of Diversity in Content

Session Brief:
Media plays a powerful role in shaping the values, attitudes and behaviors of people. Authentic representations of people’s complex identities in it can help create role models and challenge stereotypes. However, while India is demographically diverse, not all communities, social and gender identities find themselves reflected in the media they consume. This session highlights the importance of making more inclusive content. We will share a checklist that will guide creators to make their content more inclusive and appeal to a broader audience.
